“Balancing the Four Rider Sub Tasks Part II”

Last week the Tribe had an informative discussion about the level I exercises and how each Rider Subtask can be demonstrated in each exercise. This week, the Tribe will continue the deep dive into the Level II exercises identifying the same.

For example, a “Safety Margin” in an exercise could represent keeping a “physical” distance or manipulating the controls to maintain a “physical” distance from other riders or hazards. The decision process of the associated rider judgments can fall into the “mental/cognitive” Rider Subtask. “Socially,” a Safety Margin is a way to ride responsibly, creating space for others while being considerate on the road. “Emotionally,” a Safety Margin provides time and space for the comfort to respond instead of react, making our rides less anxiety filled and stressful.
